Welcome to KATLC Unit Three: Eligibility. Learning Objective: in this unit, we will learn how to recall​ KATLC eligibility. 


Any individual who has a permanent disability or is a parent or legal guardian of an individual with a disability is eligible. Applicants must have lived in Kentucky for at least six months. Applicants must be able to repay the loan. 


A nonprofit organization that provides assistive technology to individuals with disabilities may apply for a KATLC Loan if they can demonstrate how the assistive technology will be used for potential customers.


Remember: KATLC is not like traditional bank loans. It is designed to assist individuals who would not qualify under traditional loan programs. ​All sources of income will be considered the same as employment income.
